Hamilton Center, Inc. participates in social networking sites in order to educate, encourage and engage the online community to break the stigmas associated with mental health and mental health treatment. We may also promote job vacancies, activities and events that may benefit mental health and awareness throughout the community.
By clicking the associated links on Hamilton Center's website, you may be taken to web pages that are not owned by Hamilton Center and has different privacy and security policies. Hamilton Center is not responsible for, and does not endorse, guarantee or monitor content, availability, viewpoints, products or services that are offered or expressed on non-Hamilton Center portal websites.
Hamilton Center, Inc. social media accounts are monitored by agency staff in an effort to promote activities, events, bring mental health issues and information on our services to stakeholders and to timely and efficiently share ideas and information with its stakeholders consistent with Hamilton Center's mission and vision. Hamilton Center's policy is to accept the majority of comments made to the agency's social media accounts with some exceptions (see below).
- Indiana law does not provide job protection for content posted on social media.
- Content posted on Hamilton Center, Inc. social media accounts becomes a public record.
- Hamilton Center, Inc. staff monitors its profiles and pages but is not responsible for content generated by users. Posted content does not necessarily represent the views of the agency. The agency's profiles and pages may contain links to other websites on the Internet. This does not constitute an endorsement by Hamilton Center, Inc.
- Hamilton Center, Inc. reserves the right to remove any content from its social media accounts
Please do not post content containing:
- Personal identifying information,
- Financial information,
- Intellectual property,
- Confidential information,
- Advertising material,
- Profanity or,
- Material that defames or otherwise discredits Hamilton Center services.
Content whose main purpose is to market a product or service will also be removed.
Hamilton Center, Inc. staff will answer questions posted by users as time permits. Those seeking answers to questions must be cautious of answers provided by non-agency staff as the information may not be correct. When interacting with other users or followers, please be civil and follow the usage guidelines established by the social networking service.
Repeated violations of Hamilton Center, Inc. comment policy may cause the user or follower to be blocked from agency-sponsored social media pages or platforms. Hamilton Center, Inc. understands that social media platforms and profiles are a 24 hour-a-day; seven-day a week media information and engagement tool, however, the agency's monitoring capabilities are generally limited to the hours of agency operation.
Hamilton Center, Inc. standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5:00 p.m., excluding designated holidays.
The Hamilton Center, Inc. website and social media content is given for information purposes only and is not intended to replace professional clinical treatment services and under no circumstances should it be used for emergent or urgent clinical guidance. Hamilton Center, Inc. staff may not see every inappropriate comment immediately, and is trusting in the maturity of the user community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech and respond politely.
